A shoulder dislocation requires immediate attention in order to put the ball properly back into the socket.  Treatment after that depends on the severity of the injury.  Sometimes therapy is enough but surgery may be required to ensure complete healing and recovery.

Torn Labrum 

The labrum is a ring of cartilage that helps stabilize the shoulder joint.  Labral tears can occur after an injury or with repetitive use of the shoulder.  An MRI is useful to diagnose labral tears and guide treatment.
